Default New character.. What should I go for ?

Hi guys,

I have a small problem. I really want to make a nice character which is fun to play. I currently have a lvl 20 n/mo and a lvl 20 w/mo. Any suggestions?

Rangers are the tried and true multi-purpose all around fun characters, but if you want a real blast, make a mesmer and actually get good at it.

I felt ele was very fun to play and monk is also fun (if you have thick skin for insults for stupid people that assume you can heal forever and heal out of range of your spells).

What do you like to play, and what's your playing style? A lot of people hate warriors but there are still gazillion players playing them, and the same goes for other classes as well. I'm personally going for E/Rt since neither of the new classes interest me enough to make a primary out of them, and I didn't make an elementalist in Prophecies.

I like being useful to a group. Sounds weird but I really want to feel statisfaction when we finally finish a mission or hard quest.

In that case a monk would probably be a good choice You'll occasionally get flamed to oblivion for stuff that's not your fault, but if you can shrug that off, monking is really quite rewarding.

As was said, in this case Monk is definately the best option.

The Benefits
1. If you don't get healed there's only one person to blame. Basically you don't have to rely on people quite as much. (my opinion)

2. You can sit idle in mission areas and watch people get frustrated.

3. Its fun! Its been my most tough profession, but also the quick reactions, etc required to monk well don't leave any dull moments.

4. In RA, etc, you'll always at least have 1 monk.

Meh, Ill be making a Mesmer though..the As. and Rt. don't interest me that much, and mesmers pwn hard. (play a monk and you'll figure this out rather quickly.)

Thus the reason my monk is female (aswell as most other chars, males are way too ugly).
